The consumer mattresses are delivered to a Dutch company, therefore a waste management contribution has to be paid on these mattresses.
The company supplying the mattresses abroad may submit a request for a refund to MRN. In that case, the burden of proof lies with the company that exports the mattresses abroad. A request for a refund can be made by sending an e-mail to administratie@mrn.nl.
If you supply a foreign entrepreneur directly, you do not have to pay any waste management contribution, because the mattresses do not come into Dutch territory.
